The Oaks Golf Club
As the designers behind The Oaks Golf Club’s new golfing logo, we’re excited to share the story of its creation. Crafted with precision and creativity, our goal was to capture the essence of this prestigious private golf course and country club. At the heart of the logo lies a brilliant concept – a negative space design featuring an oak leaf intertwined with a golf club, subtly merging nature with the sport. The use of negative space not only adds intrigue but also reinforces the club’s connection to the lush surroundings.
Paired harmoniously with the icon is the Optima typeface, a classic humanist sans-serif font that exudes sophistication and timelessness. Its clean lines and balanced proportions perfectly complement the intricacy of the logo, enhancing its overall elegance. The choice of Optima, with its serif-like qualities, adds a touch of refinement to the branding, echoing the club’s commitment to excellence.
In terms of colour, we opted for a vibrant Moss Green as the primary hue, symbolising vitality and growth, reflecting the lush greenery of the golf course. Complemented by the darker tones of Cal Poly Green, the palette exudes a sense of richness and depth, further elevating the logo’s visual impact. The addition of Oxford Blue, Cambridge Blue, and Isabelline cream as secondary colours adds depth and versatility, allowing for flexibility in branding applications.
